Fannie Mae’s first platform for the retail sale of Real-Estate Owned Properties directly to non-profit and community based organizations, eventually both informing the direction of and being integrated into the enterprise REO platform, HomePath.

  • I provided coaching and guidance to a team of intrapreneurs to take their concept from “back of a bar napkin” to MVP in 6 months.

  • Facilitated process to develop core value proposition, and guided the team in identifying key markets and customers for prototype testing throughout the development journey.

    • Cut $2.5M in annual fees to intermediaries

    • Massive switch from legacy platform; nearly all customers onboarded in 1 quarter

    • Pivoted Innovation team to organic product discovery & development

(Re)Defining Innovation

Strategy Sprint with global hospitality brand to co-develop a post-pandemic Innovation Strategy authentic to their unique vision and worldwide impact.

  • Designed and facilitated interactive experiences to understand the current state of innovation, identify key insights from and co-create Innovation Future State with client executive team.

  • Coordinated team efforts to complete entire design process in ambitious 6-week timeline; aligned across teams for data gathering; planned and executed strategic planning sessions, and managed deliverable delivery, including multiple feedback sessions.

  • Delivered an Enterprise Innovation Charter containing key interview insights with supporting quotes, strategic vision on the meaning and purpose of innovation, and 3x distinct Innovation Strategy recommendations.

The Pitch

A grassroots innovation platform designed to engage and inspire employees to transform Fannie Mae and the housing industry.

  • Product Lead for an internal platform to hold space for employees to generate and submit innovative ideas that were then vetted and, if successful, funded and entered into the new product development pipeline.

  • Served as the focal point coordinating the efforts of the product design, technical development and governance process completion. Additionally, coordinated with Senior Leaders on new campaigns to engage and inspire employees.

    • Just holding space, we received an explosion of ideas, receiving >120 in the first quarter, and >350 in the first year

    • Launched 2 new products still in use

      • An external Servicing solution; Property 360

      • An internal HR tool for matching roles to internal candidates submitted by a repeat “intrapreneur” after a couple rounds of feedback
